An on-going educational project featuring interactive content about Alcids, a family of diving seabirds.

Wings of the Sea is a series of informative and humorous animated shorts about alcids, or auks — incredible diving seabirds most people don’t know nearly enough about.  Among the roughly two dozen species in the Alcidae family of birds is the species of bird that was originally given the name “penguin ” the Great Auk (Pinguinus impennis), the now extinct flightless bird of the northern hemisphere. See clips from Legend of the Great Auk, our upcoming animation.
